Plenty of water, plenty of sun, and plenty of palm food...and even more time..these palms are slow growing and take many, many years to become "trees." I have a beauty in my back yard that I planted from a puppy. It is very big around, has tons of gorgeous fronds, but afte 6 years, is only about 5 feet tall to tip of fronds...the trunk isn't even a foot long. When you see Sago palms that are towering, you are looking at trees that are 50 - 100 years old!
How do you get sago palms to get really big?
Lots of attention and lots of time. They have a very slow growth rate.
