P.S. I live in California, Fresno area. Hanford to be exact.
What tips do you have WHATSOEVER with SAGO PALM TREES?
I've panted them for over 20 years in all sorts of soil conditions and have
seen them survive all kinds of weather conditions - very, very hardy plants.
A couple ot tips - DON'T plant them too low - instead plant them a little high
out of the ground. GIVE them room to grow. When they're small, they look
real cute next to a sidewalk, but in a few years you'll be brushing up against
it. For the same reason. don't plant them too close to a house - they'll grow
all cock-eyed. Remember, they're slow growing and there's nothing you can
do to speed up the process
Reply:Scale insects are a MAJOR problem on sago's. You will need to consistently treat it with a systemic oil to keep those pests OFF!
