What does pudding mean to you?

The oldest type of pudding is one that is boiled in a skin.


Black pudding or haggis great chieftain o' the puddin-race!


Suet puddings - Steak and Kidney


Sweet suet puds - roly-poly, spotted-dick


Pease pudding


Yorkshire pudding


Milk pudding such as rice, sago, or tapioca.


Christmas pudding


Sponge pudding


Not a dessert or afters but tell-it-as-it-is Pudding

What does pudding mean to you?
My mother used to make pease pudding, with green split peas. And sweet rice pudding that she slow-cooked for an eternity, which came out of the oven bubbling underneath its brown skin. The Christmas pudding was a real tradition, with everybody stirring and making a wish.

It was bacon and onion in suet and it was to die for.
Reply:Pudding to me is a lovely steamed suet pudding with custard. It can be any sort but my favourite is chocolate with chocolate custard.
