Right now it is about six inches tall

How long does it take for a sago palm to be big enough to plant in the ground?
stick it in the ground. by the time its seperated from the main plant, its ready, just need to root it a bit in a pot and stick it in the ground
Reply:To add info; It also take about 20 years to be become 4' to 6' high and 4 to 8' across. thanks. They do will in most mid to warm all year climates. Also, sago palm is not really a PALM....it's a succulant plant. They also produne (pups) wich you can remove and plant to start more sego's.
