I have a sago palm tree in my room and it?

dosent grow at all, ever since i got it, it hasnt had any new branches or wht ever you call them idk whts going on... is it dying

I have a sago palm tree in my room and it?
Sagos like sunlight. The sagos I have planted generally produce one to sets of new "leaves" per year. Mine are planted in the ground outdoors. However, in colder climates, they can be kept in pots, but they DO need some sunlight. Try sitting it outside in the sun for a few hours each day. I have some small ones planted under large shady oak trees, and they haven't produced a single leaf set in a year. I'm getting ready to move them to a sunnier location.
Reply:no. actually it isnt a palm tree at all. its a cycad. long ago it was named a palm because of its palm like look. these are very very slow, but live for 1000s of years.





give it some plant food to help it along
Reply:Try sprinkling a couple table spoons of Epsom salts around the perimeter of the pot. Water in. Do the Epsom salts once a month and you should see new growth.
